grew up in stadthagen, germany.
his films explore new perspectives on historical memory of the american war in vietnam and contemporary asian diaspora perspectives. having studied directing, he knows first hand how deep structural racism runs within the german film and tv industry. he also knows, bipoc storytellers are an essential part of german cinema.
thats why he leads film workshops and is involved in mentoring to empower new bipoc storytellers. he is a berlinale talent and a member of the non-profit initiative berlin asian film network (bafnet), which has been advocating for representation of asian german realities in film and television since 2012.
